Close board fences are made of solid wood boards, this type of timber fence is our most popular fence for domestic garden use. Made from solid wooden featheredge boards and erected onto heavy duty rail (38mm x 87mm) and 100mm x 100mm posts set at 1.8mtr centres. Fence height can be custom made. A very adaptable fence, working well on slopes as well as level ground. All materials supplied loose for assembly on site.  
Pale/Picket fences are used when an unobtrusive fence solution is needed. Pale fences are available in almost any height and come in 2 types of tops pointed top and square top. B S City Fencing Contracts pale fencing uses 100mm x 22mm pales with 38mm x 87mm rails and 100mm x 100mm posts all supplied loose for assembly on site.  
Post and Rail This type of fence is best suited for more rural locations and field boundaries. Post and rail can be erected on level or sloping ground. Post and rail is a term used to describe any fencing system comprising of solid timber rails and posts. There are various types of post and rail, mortised which have the rails through the centres of the posts and nail on which just has the rails nailed to the face of the posts. Stock wire or mesh can then be fitted to the fence to control smaller animals.
